Klett World Languages is a growing educational publisher with European roots.  We are the Chicago-based US arm of the Klett Group, which was founded in 1897 and encompasses 80+ educational enterprises.

The Educational Technology Manager will be responsible for development and promotion of KWL’s digital materials. The position requires a team member who has the ability to adapt quickly and work efficiently. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, flexible team-player, looking for a challenging role in a driven, yet supportive environment.


The Educational Technology Manager will:


  • Execute KWL’s EdTech strategy and facilitate the development of digital materials in coordination with software developers, authors, and editors.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing department and the Board of Directors on determining the strategy for digital product development, innovation, and promotion appropriate to the US market.
  • Collect feedback from customers and propose improvements to KWL’s EdTech solutions.
  • Develop custom solutions and EdTech integrations to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Serve as liaison and subject matter expert to third-party EdTech providers.
  • Work closely with the Operations and Marketing departments on the yearly portfolio review, providing insights about pricing models and the scope of digital products offered.
  • Assist Operations department with development and maintenance of KWL’s enterprise software
  • Work with the Tech Support subdivision of the EdTech department on the following tasks:
    •  Planning, execution, and control of strategies for customer service related to educational technology, coordination of related workflows and development of online customer service tools in collaboration with the Operations department.
    • Coordination of regular training and support to the sales department to ensure that sales consultants are prepared to provide high-quality digital product demonstrations to customers.
    • Development of tools to support customer success including video and written tutorials.
    • Implementation, in close cooperation with the Operations department, of ecommerce and ERP solutions for distribution digital learning materials.


Required skills and experience:


  • At least a bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience with EdTech
  • Knowledge of at least one European languages besides English (Spanish preferred)
  • A profound understanding of common tools and solutions used by students, teachers, and schools.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to drive decisions
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Experience managing complex international projects
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
